Halloween has a magical feel to it, and It's the perfect day to cleanse & protect your energy, reflect on the past year, set your intentions for the coming year.
Looking after our energy is so essential for our physical, mental, spiritual & emotional wellbeing.

Protect & clear your energy:

Purification Bathtime Ritual
- Add 1 drop each of

Top tips for a great nights sleep taken from Matt Walker’s Ted Talk
My clients come to me for three main reasons; sleep challenges, anxiety & no life purpose.
Your late nights and early mornings have way more consequences for your health and memory than you think.
Did you know if you only get 6 hours sleep a night, for just one week, it has an affect on your genes?
Studies show a sizeable distortion in over 700 gene activity caused by lack of sleep
Half of the genes increased in their activity (associated with tumor growth, long term chronic inflammation, stress & cardiovascular disease)
Clients ask me how do I get a better nights sleep?
It’s a delicate Balance;
Only use the bedroom for sleep
No electronics in the bedroom
I wear a sleep mask to block out any light sources
I put 2 drops each of Lavender & Jasmine oil in my bath 90mins before bed
I drink Pukka Cacao Maca Latte Magic made with cashew nut milk & take2 x serenity capsules.
I diffuse breathe blend in my bedroom before sleep
Go to bed at same time every single day no matter what (For me it’s 10pm as I rise at 5.45 naturally)
Keep your bedroom cool (around 18 degrees)

Did you know my clients come to me for help with 3 main reasons? Sleep, Anxiety & Finding their True Life Purpose.
In fact, these three all go hand in hand. If you can't sleep, you feel anxious, and then you are less likely to be goal orientated.
Have you ever had a couple of nights where your sleep pattern has been broken?
Do you remember how you felt the next day?
Imagine how you would feel if you hadn't slept properly for whole weeks, month or even years?
Sleep doesn't exist to just pass the time or to keep us from working 24 hours a day. Sleep is vital because it is inherently physically and mentally healing, and it allows for our bodies to not only recoup from the stress of everyday life but also to recharge and refocus.
When I was working in Corporate and in my highest periods of stress; my sleep patterns were all over the place. I was left feeling tired, weary, irritable and anxious. I was no-where near on my A-Game!
To relieve occasional sleeplessness, I take doTERRA Serenity Softgels. The softgels contain a combination of Lavender essential oil, L-theanine (an amino acid found in green tea), and plant extracts including lemon balm, passionflower, and german chamomile.
L-theanine specifically has been shown to improve sleep efficiency, which means the amount of time you are asleep.

Anyone else woken up like the walking dead today?! Wow! What a spectacular show the sky put on last night?! The girls and I were very excited to be woken up to watch the thunder and lightning!
I then fell back into the deepest sleep listening to the heavy rain lash down.
However, the rain was so big and ploppy (it's the only way to describe it LOL!) I had to shut my bedroom window, and I think I got too hot and fell in a very deep sleep.
So this morning I thought I would share with you my top tips for waking up when I feel like the walking dead: - 4 gallons of coffee LOL
- A cold shower
- A full dosage of Lifelong Vitality Supplements
- Inhale Peppermint oil and also rub it on the back of my neck.

A quick post to let you know about a competition I am running over on Facebook.
I have enrolled in a personal development training course called Spark The Change, and this week my Mentor is pushing me right outside my comfort zone!
The challenge is to do a Facebook live, which are not a favourite of mine, I have to be honest, as my mind just goes completely blank as soon as I go live!
So I accepted this challenge, and then made my own decision to push myself even further, by recording a series of 4 FB lives on my Blossom Wellbeing Cheshire page this week!

A week last Tuesday was one of the most enjoyable essential oils classes I ever been to.
I'm always looking to add value for my clients and so wanted to mix the classes up a little instead of my regular Essential Oils Lifestyle classes.
Blossom Wellbeing collaborated with Oliver Dunn The Chocolatier, at his chocolate studio in High Lane, and the results were incredible!
Ollie had just returned from Accra, where he had been sourcing only the very best quality raw chocolate, with his Father Simon.
Ollie taught us all about chocolate, where it comes from, we saw and touched pods in different stages of ripeness and tasted the nibs in their rawest form (I liked the taste, others weren't so keen).
Ollie then brought out a pot of cocoa powder for us to smell and tried to catch me out by giving me cinnamon powder instead!
We learnt how to make the truffles and lollipops which we flavoured with a drop of lemon, lavender or peppermint.
Some of the class wanted to be more adventurous and opted to try Frankincense oil, (given to the Christ child 0 BC) which I have to say I think were, surprisingly, my favourite!
I just loved the rich, smooth contrast of the dark chocolate followed by the hint of essential oil. In fact, I wish I had some more right now!
Whilst we were making or delicious truffles, I explained the therapeutic benefits of each essential oil and they are natural aromatic compounds found in the seeds, flowers, bark, rind, and leaves of plants, extracted an distilled for their health benefits.
I was taught from an early age, at home by my Father who is a Dentist, how essential oils are a natural healthcare solution to address root causes without side effects as the first line of defence, with synthetic options second.
If you are open to learning more, I would love the opportunity to share the oils with you and those in your life that are also interested in improving their lives through natural medicine.

A few weeks ago I held my first Essential Oils Lifestyle Class for my family and friends.
I wanted to share the incredible oils I had recently found. I am always looking for ways to add value to my treatments and customers and these oils fit in perfectly with my Practice.
I had also been looking for alternative treatments to medicate myself and my family, before reaching for Paracetamol, Calpol, etc. as a first instance. Using essential oils can be safe, natural option to protect and maintain your family's health
My dear friend Rebecca directed me to these therapeutic grade essential oils. She was enthused by these oils as they can be administered aromatically, topically AND internally.
These oils are pure and natural, with aromatic compounds carefully extracted from plants. They are free from fillers or artificial ingredients; there is no dilution of active qualities and free of contaminants, pesticides, or chemical residues. Everything you would naturally expect from an essential oil.
I hosted the classes with the very lovely Simone Quinn-Dixon from Cheshire Beauty, who has been a trained aromatherapist for the past 25 years. Simone has been using these special oils for any years and is an advocate for the brand.
The first class was extremely well received, as was the second. It was a fun, relaxed evening, with people not wanting to go home!
I faced my fears before the first class and posted my first ever Facebook live - Cringe!

I began with a brief introduction to myself and my business, how I use essential oils within my treatments, followed by background on the essential oils company and then detailed information about the ten most popular oils while sharing them with the class.

We enjoyed adding zesty, grapefruit oil to their glass of prosseco, for a slightly "healthier" variation!
For the first two classes, we served sushi and dim sum.
This week's class is taking on a Spanish theme! For a taste of summer sunshine, we will be serving Sangria, Spanish tapas and Creme Catalan and show you how to use the oils in cooking, which is really exciting.

I have been VERY naughty!
I am really embarrassed to admit this has happened to me
Yesterday, at my daughter's sports day, I was assigned the role of manning the inflatable assault course. (It was such good fun!)
At the beginning of my short, stint the sky was cloudy above. Soon the clouds parted, and the sun began to shine. The sun was generating quite a bit of heat, and so I took my jumper off.
I supervised the children only for half an hour, before going back inside.
I previously trained as a dermatology nurse, specialising in the removal of skin cancer and know well the dangers of sun damage.
I am very pale skinned, with red hair and freckles and always look after my skin.
Every morning as part of my skincare regime, I apply an SPF 50 to my face and neck (even in winter) to protect from ultraviolet rays, to prevent ageing and wrinkles.

In the short space of time, I got a mild sunburn! I totally underestimated the strength of the sun yesterday
As you can see the skin is red, it's really hot, feeling tight and sore to the touch!
There's not a lot I can do about it now, except working on healing and soothing the burn.
Before I reach for the hard stuff, I personally prefer to try alternative methods of healing.
Essential Oils Natural Remedies:
I reached for my essential oils family physician box and chose lavender, peppermint and frankincense oils.
I mixed two drops of each oil with fractionated coconut oil to minimise any skin sensitivity and gently, applied it directly onto my sunburn (topically) every four to six hours.
Lavender oil soothes any skin irritation and helps to heal burns.
Peppermint oil contributes to cool the burn and relieve pain.
Frankincense oil supports healthy cellular function and helps reduce skin imperfections and scarring.
Other oils I could use would be Melaleuca and Helichrysum.

Now I think you may have realised over the past few weeks, just how much I love aromatherapy!
This week is aromatherapy awareness week, so I thought I would tell you a little about why I am so interested in it.
I was first introduced to it when I was about ten years old, by my Father who is a Dentist.
He has always had a keen interest in homoeopathy and aromatherapy.
My brother and I were taught to perform steam inhalations with Eucalyptus or Frankincense oils when had colds or sinusitis. To use Lavender & Chamomile oils to relax before sleep or exams. Lemon oil for a boost etc. We have always been taught to use to alleviate various symptoms..
Recently, I realised every time my children feel a little "off" they are asking for paracetamol. While it has its place surely this cannot be healthy? It made me think about all the chemical products in my house and air fresheners with synthetic sprays...
What is the alternative?
We will turn back to nature and explore what pure, organic, therapeutic, food grade essential oils, plants, herbs and flowers has to offer in our everyday lifestyle.
I for one am ready to explore new ways to lead my lifestyle, boost my health and create a natural, non-toxic environment at home and the workplace.
